Rochester Downtown Riverfront Public Access Improvements

  • Concept through final construction plans for a 2,150 LF asphalt and concrete bicycle/pedestrian path.
  • Design included a small park space overlooking the NYS Canal Corp. Dam, RG&E power station and raceway.
  • Details of design include interpretive signage, seating, decorative light poles, kiosk, decorative pavement, and railings.
  • Construction completed in 2000.
  • Estimated cost $160,000.

Macedon Canal Access Center

Town of Macedon, Wayne County, New York

  • Concept through final construction plans for a 25 acre boating facility.
  • Construction completed in 2000.
  • Estimated phase one construction cost: $500,000.
  • Design included a basin marina with a boat launch and docking for 40 boats, a second basin for docking of "hire" houseboats, parking for cars and trailers, bike trails and canal trail connections, landscaping and lighting and placement of an 18,000 SF boat repairs/retail building.

Irondequoit Bay Marine Park

Town of Irondequoit, Monroe County, NY.

  • Designed walkways, handicapped access to existing jetty, benches and other site amenities.
  • Provided parking for 42 cars and 72 car/trailer vehicles for an existing boat launch.
  • Designs included new landscape treatments for a 19 acre property with frontage on Lake Ontario and Irondequoit Bay as part of a proposed bridge construction project.
  • Located and specified materials for new restroom, tenant and storage buildings.
